Plt.axhline what is the logic behind xmin=0.18

I was wondering how the value of 0.18 in the setting for the xmin in plt.axhline has come about. How does this relate to the value of 27 years from which the line should start?

The units for expressing how long a line can be are in “plot” units and not “data” units. So in this case, the line starts 18% from the left (0.18) and extends all the way to the right (1 for 100%). And so the 0.18 is about at 27 years for this data set.
