Issue in connecting to kernel

server can’t connect to kernel in notebook.

and

I just tried and I cannot reproduce this problem.

  • Can you try again to check if it was a temporary overload of the machine?
  • Which browser are you using (although I doubt this problem is linked to a specific browser but one never knows)?
  • Have you tried to shutdown and restart the kernel?

Another thing to try:

Hi, Thanks for your response!
All cookies are allowed for these links that you mentioned.
https://cloud-mooc.inria.fr/hub/home is okay and there’s no problem with kernel in cloud-mooc.inria.fr.

• Double-Checked! kernel doesn’t connect.
• Chrome.
• Yes I have! But it doesn’t help.

Maybe you can try with Firefox? Maybe you have some sort of firewall on your machine or your network that blocks the websocket?

• yes I can use Firefox, Although I’m comfortable with using cloud-mooc.inria.fr.
• No I don’t have:

Hello,

Do you have any extension installed ? This may be useful for other users to identify the source of the issue.

Hi! Yes, I do. Like “GoogleTranslate” and “Page Marker”.

Thank you, unfortunately I am unable to reproduce it. But if you find anything let us know.

Sure!

Firefox is okay there.

You can try on another jupyter installation, for instance using mybinder.org to check if you have a similar problem.

Alright, so let’s use firefox to do the MOOC, then. There is probably a configuration setting or extension in your Chrome installation that is preventing it to establish the websocket.
