'here' and 'there' in the audios

Hi !

It is not a blocker, but in the two audios:

  • Overfitting and Underfitting (1)
  • Comparing train and test errors (2)

it is like the mouse pointer is missing.

For example, in the firs 3 minutes of (1), we have:

“here and here” instead of “left and right” multiple times

and in (2), in the last 3 minutes we have:

“this region”, “here”

As said, it is not blocking the understanding, just a minor comment.

I seem to remember vaguely we were aware of this issue (for some technical reasons the mouse pointer was not captured during the video ).

@ogrisel probably remembers a bit more since he created the video?

I would say that the priority is probably to create missing videos in later modules but yeah this would definitely be great to fix … maybe the post-processing video company we use could also do some highlighting (not sure this is achievable given the limited timeframe …)?

Yes indeed, I realized after recording the videos for this module. I now know how to record the mouse cursor, I will have to re-record.

I managed to gather enough video editing knowledge to do the editing myself (using OpenShot if you are curious).

I will try to do the video post-processing and upload videos in FUN (hopefully before the end of the week :crossed_fingers:).

And also I agree that it was quite hard to follow with terms like “here”, “there”, “this one” in some places.

I did some post-processing of all the videos, they should soon be uploaded in FUN. That should take care of most of the issues.

@ogrisel @lesteve @lsioctl

The new videos have been uploaded. I fixed the “jump” at the beginning of the “comparing train and test errors” video by the way and added the opening and closing credits for the 3 videos
