make_pipeline (as well as Pipeline) is used to:
run cross-validation
this is not a valid answer, but cross_validate takes a pipeline as an argument to be constructed. This is confusing to my little understanding.
Yeah, I think maybe we need to find a clearer way of saying what does make_pipeline do (rather than as you understood, what can make_pipeline be used in combination with).
Maybe the easiest fix is to find another more obviously wrong answer.
Another problem in this quiz:
- the d) answer (which is wrong) is “avoid over-fitting”. We have not mentioned over-fitting at all at this point of the MOOC, so we would need to find another wrong answer for example “visualise the feature distributions” or something better.
