Are special characters allowed in name and on certificate?

On FUN platform seems the special characters are not allowed. “ł” is displayed as “?”. Is that a problem for the certificate?

I have no idea. Maybe @MarieCollin has probably more experience with such limitations of the Fun platform.

If this is the case we should definitely report the problem to the Fun maintainers to add proper support of Unicode characters in the user names.

According to the FUN-Mooc team, the full name (first name, last name) given at registration on FUN is used for the certificate. Again, according to the FUN team, there are no unknown characters for your certificate. Do you confirm?

My name has “ł” character which was printed on the certificate as “?”. It was later corrected to “l” which is close to original character. I also changed my FUN settings to “l”.
But for “ł” it shows “?”. So the system doesn’t display correctly special characters.

Thanks @miwojc for the detailed explanation. I transmitted to FUN team for further investigation. I am waiting for their feedback.
