Confused by the structure of the questions

First of all, thanks for this course. Maybe it is because of my academic background but in the quizzes more than answering questions I felt that I’m avoiding traps. Perhaps it is the structure of the sentences or maybe this is the way that questions are made in this subject (not my first MOOC though).

Also I think that it would be good if a question receive some points when is partially right, not this all or nothing criteria.

Could you be more explicit?

Do you mean that you are under the impression that available answers were designed to trick students?
Most of the time, the questions were designed to be straightforward. A couple of questions require a bit more thinking and they can be in this case tricky.

What would be great, is to have some concrete examples of such tricky questions where we can consider improving them for the next version.

We will not make such a change during this MOOC. However, we will consider this suggestion for the next MOOC session.

Hello:

Thank you for the answer. What I meant was that sometimes I got confused with the combinations of options, specially when once checked an answer is marked as not correct and due to that in occasions I unchecked correct options. But reading your answer make me think that is a matter of spending more time in analyzing the question. Additionally I’m going to try to separate the study session from the quiz sessions.

Thank you again for your answer and if I find in the future a question where the answers are too thin between each other I’ll post it.

I agree with @glemaitre58 don’t hesitate to create topics if you find questions that you think are confusing. This kind of feed-back is very useful although our recent experience has shown that designing quizzes that work for most people is actually not that easy .
