User interface suggestion for the wrap-up quiz

Hi,

a little feedback about the wrap-up quiz layout. If this is not the right place where to give this sort of UX feedback, please let me know where I should ask.

The idea of having to run code in order to answer questions is great. However, the layout of code & questions is suboptimal. Since the notebook is at the top of the page and the questions at the bottom, answering the last questions requires a lot of mouse-wheel action which is not fantastic :slightly_smiling_face: One can click the image button to open the notebook in full page, but then the questions are not visible anymore!

I think the UX could be significantly improved with just a small tweak: have the image button open the notebook in full page in another tab, rather than in the current page. Then we can easily tear the tab to another browser window, and place the questions window and the notebook window side by side. I’m not attaching an image to show the desired effect b/c my notebook has answer spoilers, but I think you got the idea.

Hi AndreaPie,
my solution to this was to use the sandbox notebook in another tab and doing the coding there.

That’s also a good idea! What I did was to open the same page in two tabs, then pop a tab, image and finally put the two windows side by side. Your approach looks simpler.

Yes we are a bit limited regarding the FUN platform. We created this sandbox notebook to add a bit more flexibility.

Regarding opening the notebook in another tab, it might be possible to do it. However, some browsers will block it by default. It might not be the best default. Maybe we could have a new button next to “Open Notebook”.

Anyway we can think about a possible UX improvement (depending of the limit of FUN). ping @MarieCollin @brospars @lfarhi
