Prérequis à l’utilisation de Rumba - Prerequisites for using Rumba

• Un ordinateur avec système d'exploitation Linux ou Windows 64 bits (testé sur Windows 7/8/10, Ubuntu 14.04/16.04, CentOS 6/7, Fedora 20, ArchLinux, ...)
• Une souris avec au moins deux boutons (trois boutons étant l'idéal)
• Une carte graphique et un pilote graphique compatibles avec OpenGL 4

Mise en route sous Windows - Getting Started in Windows

• Téléchargez l'installeur ICI (version : rumba_animapodi-3.1_win64.exe)
• Double-cliquez sur l'installeur
• Nous vous recommandons de laisser l'installeur choisir un chemin d'installation
• L'installeur supprimera automatiquement une éventuelle version précédente installée au même endroit
• Si vous voulez modifier le chemin d'installation, assurez-vous qu'il ne ne contienne que des caractères ASCII (i.e., pas d'accent, pas de cédille, etc...)

• Download the installer HERE (version: rumba_animapodi-3.1_win64.exe)
• Double-click on the installer
• We recommend that you let the installer choose an installation path
• The installer will automatically remove any previous version installed in the same place.
• If you want to change the installation path, make sure that it contains only ASCII characters (i.e. no accents, no cedilla, etc.).

Si vous ne parvenez pas à lancer Rumba ou que vous observez des dysfonctionnements, il est possible que possédiez deux cartes graphiques -une discrète (performante) et une intégrée (limitée)- et que la carte intégrée soit sélectionnée par défaut. Dans ce cas suivez les instructions suivantes :

• Cliquez avec le bouton droit sur le raccourci du bureau
• Sélectionnez «Panneau de configuration NVIDIA» si votre carte discrète est une NVIDIA

  * choisissez «Gérer les paramètres 3D» puis «Paramètres du programme»
  * ajouter l'exécutable de Rumba Anima Podi et sélectionnez la carte graphique NVIDIA
  * cliquer sur «Appliquer»

• Si votre carte graphique discrète est une AMD

  * sélectionnez «Configurer les graphiques commutables» ou «Consommation»
  * choisir «Graphiques commutables»
  * ajouter l'exécutable du programme Rumba Anima Podi
  * cliquer sur «Appliquer»

If you are unable to launch Rumba or if you observe malfunctions, it is possible that you have two graphics cards - one discrete (high-performance) and one integrated (limited) - and that the integrated card is selected by default. In this case, follow the instructions below:

• Right-click on the desktop shortcut
• Select "NVIDIA Control Panel" if your discrete card is an NVIDIA card.

  * choose "Manage 3D parameters" then "Program parameters".
  * add the Rumba Anima Podi executable and select the NVIDIA graphics card
  * click on "Apply"

• If your discrete graphics card is an AMD

  * select "Configure switchable graphics" or "Consumption".
  * choose "switchable graphics"
  * add the executable of the program Rumba Anima Podi
  * click on "Apply"

Mise en route sous Linux - Getting Started with Linux

• Téléchargez l'archive ICI (version : rumba_animapodi-3.1_linux64.tar.gz)
• Extraire l'archive avec votre gestionnaire de fichier ou en ligne de commande avec `tar zxf rumba_animapodi-3.0_linux64.tar.gz`
• Placez le dossier ainsi extrait où vous voulez
• Placez vous dans ce dossier et lancez `rumba`
• Vous pouvez aussi mettre le dossier d'installation dans votre variable `$PATH` et lancer `rumba` n'importe où ou faire un raccourci sur votre bureau
• Si vous possédez une carte graphique intégrée et une discrètes, reportez vous à la documentation de votre distribution linux pour configurer votre machine afin que Rumba Anima Podi soit lancé sur la bonne carte graphique
• Certaines distributions Linux ont plusieurs librairies OpenGL d'installées et cela nécessite une configuration précise. Pour vous éviter des soucis, nous mettons à votre disposition un script python dans `bin/select_libGL` afin d'indiquer à Rumba Anima Podi quelle librairie utiliser.

• Extract the archive with your file manager or command line with `tar zxf rumba_animapodi-3.0_linux64.tar.gz`.
• Place the extracted file wherever you want
• Go to this directory and run `rumba`.
• You can also put the installation folder in your `$PATH` variable and run `rumba` anywhere or make a shortcut on your desktop
• If you have an integrated graphics card and a discrete one, refer to the documentation of your linux distribution to configure your machine so that Rumba Anima Podi is launched on the right graphics card.
• Some Linux distributions have several OpenGL libraries installed and this requires precise configuration. To save you trouble, we provide a python script in `bin/select_libGL` to tell Rumba Anima Podi which library to use.
